The short version

Steeping keeps your trips on your own iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you turn on syncing or sharing. We don't collect your information, we don't see your trips, and we never show ads or sell anything about you.

No account to create, no sign-up, no password.
No analytics, no tracking, no ad networks in the app.
Your trips, lists, bookings and screenshots stay on your iPhone, or in your own iCloud through Apple.

What Steeping keeps, and where

Everything you put into Steeping is stored on your iPhone:

your trips, dates and who you're travelling with (a first name only),
your packing lists and prep steps,
your bookings: names, dates, confirmation numbers, addresses and notes,
any booking screenshots you add,
your own first name and your nudge and sound choices.

We can't see any of it. It never passes through our own servers, because Steeping doesn't have any.

Features that use Apple's services

A few features rely on tools built into your iPhone. Each one asks your permission first, and you can change your mind any time in iPhone Settings.

If you ask, your trip dates and bookings are added to your own calendar. Steeping can only add events, never read your calendar.

What Steeping never does

No ads, ever.Not in the app, not in our emails.

No tracking.We don't follow what you do in Steeping or anywhere else, and we don't use analytics tools.

No selling or sharing.We have nothing to sell, because we don't collect it.

No accounts.Steeping doesn't ask for your email or phone number to use the app.

Your choices

Deleting your data. Delete a trip in Steeping and it's gone, along with its lists, steps and bookings. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your iPhone. If you use iCloud, you can also remove Steeping's data in iPhone Settings under your name, then iCloud.

Leaving a shared trip. Either person can stop sharing a trip at any time. The other person keeps their own copy until they delete it.

Children. Steeping is made for adults and isn't directed at children.

Our waitlist and emails. If you join the Steeping waitlist, your email address is kept by our email provider, Flodesk, only to send you Steeping news. We never sell or share it. Like most email services, Flodesk notes whether an email was opened and which links were tapped, which tells us our emails are arriving. We don't use it for anything else. You can unsubscribe from any email with one tap.

Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. We'll never change it to start collecting your data without asking first.
